Music

A place to grow...

Our diverse music ministry for adults and children leads our congregation in song each Sunday, both in traditional and contemporary styles. Our GAME program (Grace Academy of Music Education) provides community children of all backgrounds music lessons for very minimal fees. We also host large music events, including community concerts, NATS recitals (National Association of Teachers of Singing), visiting college ensembles, and our valley-wide Summer Sing-a-Longs. Find out how you can get involved!

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir sings in the 10:30am traditional worship service each Sunday. We rehearse each Wednesday evening 7:15 – 9:00pm. We are blessed to have a good balance of experienced SATB singers. We sing a wide variety of choral music styles, including: classical, traditional hymn arrangements, gospel, and world music – both accompanied and a capella.

Grace Concert Singers

The Grace Concert Singers perform masterworks 2-3 times each year. This group is comprised of singers from our Chancel Choir AND is open to all singers in the community. Recent performances include: Handel’s Messiah (Christmas portion), Mozart Requiem, Durufle Requiem, Rutter Requiem, Vivaldi Gloria, and many others. All performances are with professional chamber orchestra. Rehearsals are seasonal on Wednesday evenings in the weeks preceding each concert.

Praise Team

Our Praise Team leads the worship music each Sunday in the 10:30am contemporary service. The praise singers are accompanied by keyboard, guitars, and bass guitar. We feature many popular Christian favorites from the 80’s through today.

Bells of Grace

Our adult handbell choir, Bells of Grace, rings about one Sunday a month in the traditional 10:30am service. We have a 5-octave set of Schulmericks, a 4-octave set of Malmarks, and a 3-octave set of chimes.

Sunday Children's Music

We have fun and educational children’s music featuring Orff xylophones and percussion instruments, led by a specialist in children’s music education. The children present music in both the traditional and contemporary Sunday services about once a month. They meet at 9:00am each Sunday morning; kids in grades K-8 are welcome, no experience needed!

GAME teaches piano, voice, and wind/string instruments to children of all ages! Private and group lessons available for reasonable fees, taught by professional musicians with excellent educational backgrounds. Students can showcase their talents in periodic recitals and other public performance opportunities! Parents are welcome to observe OR plug into our WiFi and Coffee café while you wait during your child’s lesson! Click for more info: game-music.org.

Summer Sing-a-Longs

Calling all choral singers! Our Summer Sing-a-Longs are fun-and-done in one Saturday! We rehearse a masterwork during the day, host a scrumptious catered meal, and then perform the work that same evening. Led by experienced choral conductors and accompanists, these events have become must-sings in the Vegas valley! Recent performances include: Faure Requiem, Famous Gilbert and Sullivan Choruses, Rutter Gloria, Schubert Mass in G, and others.

Seasonal Special Concerts

We have a wide variety of choral masterwork concerts performed by the Grace Concert Singers and the Summer Sing-a-Long choirs. Additionally, we host organ concerts, visiting college choirs, chamber music concerts, and special recitals such as the local NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) summer scholarship recital.
