A place to grow...

Jesus said “Let the children come!” Grace Presbyterian’s Childrens’ Ministry is about coming to Jesus and together growing. We have activities for all ages, from birth through high school. Come check us out. We are expanding all the time, and we would love to see you. Click the “Children” link to learn more about opportunities for your child(ren), ages 0 to 12. For teens, tweens, and young adults from 6th grade and up, click on our “Youth” link for more information, and check out our social media pages as well!

A place for Kids

Children Ministries welcomes infants, toddlers, pre-school and elementary students to participate in Sunday School in a safe, age appropriate classroom with age leveled lessons.  Special activities keep children engaged with music lessons, art projects, classroom parties, games, live storybook, reader’s theater, holiday themed events, Children’s Church and amazing friends to enjoy every week.

A place for Youth

Youth Ministries welcomes all graduated 5th grade – graduated twelfth grade seniors to join weekly meetings filled with games, friendship, reading God’s Word and special events. Youth bond through special activities, and grow through shared experiences in mission work, leadership and learning.

A place for Young Adults

Young Adult Small Group is awesome High School graduates to age 28.  These young adults meet on Sunday evenings to read the Bible together in the CYC lounge with ugly couches, candies and refreshments. Sometimes the young adults meet for sushi or a special outing together. The shared goal of the Young Adult group is looking forward to an international mission trip.  These awesome and busy young adults are a tremendous blessing in each other’s lives. A place for Adults

Adult Education Ministries includes Sunday morning 9:00 a.m. Sunday School classes. The first is located in classroom 16 where various engaging lesson series programs are shared by several excellent moderators.  The Bible Study Group also meets at 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings in classroom 14 on the 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th Sunday’s of the month.  Enjoy these class offerings and be nourished with small groups and service opportunities too.

A place for Small Groups

Small Group Ministries engages folks in Bible study and is held at a person’s home, on church campus or at a restaurant.  Small groups become close groups of friends that love reading the Bible together. Men’s and women’s groups provide a variety of activities alongside Bible study.  Consider joining any of these offerings. They meet different days/times/locations. Contact the church office to learn more.

A place for VBS

Vacation Bible School is June 1, 2024 for kids ages 4-10.  Children attend VBS camp from 9:00 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tuition is $5 per child. Bring a packed lunch for all day fun enjoying assembly time
music and 5 rotations of class time excitement including: science time, arts
& crafts, a big air-conditioned game room, snack room and Bible Story time.

A place for Summer Camp Ministries

Calvin Crest Camp Ministries located in Oakhurst, California is the home of campers in July.  There is family camp, elementary camp called Sherwood Forest, middle school camp and high school camp weeks offered yearly.  Grace Presbyterian Church occasionally sponsors all transportation costs to/from camp for student campers.  Registration for camp is made through the Calvin Crest website.

A place for Friends Camping Together

The fall family campout is a special Labor Day Weekend getaway for friends to fellowship and enjoy the stunning beauty of the forested Pine Valley camp grounds located just North of St. George, Utah.  Families and friends meet at the campgrounds pre-reserved so that all can be together. The weekend is filled with good friends, self-guided activities and stories by the fireside.

A place for a Youth Mystery Trip Adventure

Grace Youth embark on a journey to unknown adventures.  This 4 to 5-day journey offers a surprise itinerary daily for the travelers.  Parents in the meantime have the full plan.  Students enjoy daily adventures with teamwork, trust and leadership.  Daily Bible Study and great friends make this trip something to look forward to for youth every summer.

A place for a Youth Missions

Grace Youth embark on a week-long springtime mission trip to the Presbyterian Conference Center at Zephyr Point Lake Tahoe.  The youth renovate cabins with projects such as, cleaning up recycling, construction clean-up, grounds maintenance, removing flooring, laying new tile, carpet squares or linoleum. If it is a National Youth Triennium year, the students gather for local mission adventures.

A place for College Visit Opportunities

High School Youth have the opportunity yearly to visit colleges in Nevada’s surrounding states.  Students tour universities with excellent college guides excited to discuss college planning questions with the students.  This great program is unique and serves to nourish our students with valuable information as they plan their future.

A place for the National Youth Triennium

Designed for High School students the National Youth Triennium is offered once every three years for Presbyterian Youth across the country.  Students embark to a centrally located city in the United States to attend the three-day conference.  Attendees are offered a big schedule of workshops to choose from.  Grace youth have truly enjoyed the tremendous daily worship with thousands of Presbyterian youth, attending social justice conversations, finding interesting workshops, visiting activities in the conference room and of course amazing meals.
